Michael Patrick Murphy, Placer County LP Vice Chair, Minority Candidate for the CA Assembly District 4
15th of December, 2006.

This past election proved one thing to the powers that run Placer County and our cities. The public is ignorant and lazy enough to allow them to run away with their gold without a fight while ruining their way of life at the same time. In fact, their move to continue their use of stolen funds from the public even drew attention from the Placer Herald, a paper I assume to be consistently asleep at the wheel.

"Quid Pro Quo," is when the County powers scratch each other's back. In this County, the media tends to help them by supplying the back scratchers. Much of this is done by the myriad of Brehm Communications Corporate Newspapers and radio stations like KFBK or Talk 650. But our county is not just sold off by these monsters. Often, it is just as beaten up by such "good ol' boys" as Joe Carroll of the Sentinel, who helps to bring about their Merry Christmas at the taxpayers own expense. Already, the Supervisors (Super meaning supreme over the rest of us) are handing out raises to those that endorsed their candidacies like Sheriff Ed Bonner and those that ran the elections like Jim McCauley. Now, with folks like Joe saying these big spending, bankrupting Supervisors deserve a raise and promoting the likes of Kirk Uhler, socialist extraordinaire, we have the setting for the perfect storm. Ironically, the devastation is exactly what Placer County residents deserve as a reward for their ignorance and laziness.

In order for the County to afford its increasing big spending habits, we will see the Board prostitute itself before the developers and builders increasing the population density while building higher and higher buildings. Look out Los Angeles and the Bay Area, your competition for smog and traffic is on the way. Clover Valley folks, "You ain 't seen nothin' yet!"

Approximately 175,000 voters are registered. 90,000 are Republicans. These have turned out to be the most ignorant and lazy of our Placer County residents. After all, only about 44,000 folks from all parties turned out to vote for their supposedly conservative Republican candidates. That's less than half their own registrations! Even the Greens and Libertarians did better than that!

Today, Ted Gaines is acting like the fiscally conservative Assemblyman that he is supposed to be and he will get away with it because the average Placer County voter never knew his record as a Placer County Supervisor, now replaced by the infamous Kirk Uhler, Republican apologist maximus!

People are spending like there's no tomorrow for this Christmas season and perhaps they should. The way they vote may possibly mean just that. There's no tomorrow. That ought to give the local "neos" a thrill, what with proving prophesy and all. There are plenty of symptoms as these pseudo Christians are becoming more and more anti Muslim while the Democrats and Republicans are appearing to be more aggressive towards one another. If it weren't for so many folks intelligently leaving those parties, I would almost say a civil war is inevitable. But what a waste that would be, since Republicans and Democrats have been equally responsible for the destruction of America. In fact they have both been doing the same destructive actions. When I hear the words "bipartisan" I get twice as sick to my stomach. I know that means they will be agreeing to steal twice as much of my money to spend on twice as many useless bills and bureaucracies. If I didn't know better, I would say that our sleeping county is high on opium. In a sense, it really is. It's high on the ability to buy cheap and eventually worthless goods from our opium aware Chinese friends that we give our inflated cash to.

As Placer County is being lulled to sleep by "Silent Night," and spending their small and borrowed fortunes on infinitely well designed Christmas and New Years parties, they neglect their duties as Americans. The County Board and local City Councils will inevitably lock down the tools of communism and the corporate take over of our County as the irresponsible doze on. It's easy to rig a government when nobody is paying attention and while religious people still teach their children that the Easter Bunny really does go hopping down the street. During this cold and rainy winter, as most young and unsuspecting Placer County children wait for Santa to go down the chimney, the minutemen watch our future go up in smoke beneath him. Perhaps I am the only one so impolite as to speak out at such a reverent time in yet another feeble attempt to wake the comatose. For that, I will NOT apologize.
