Every problem seems to be a government problem and every solution seems to require government spending—a Federal nanny with a club in one hand and a check book in the other!

Pres. Bush has vowed "We'll do whatever it takes"...reminescent of his terrorist rant, "Bring it on". In contrast to the actions of President Bush and Congress, a nation can't get rich through government spending. The government diminishes our own ability to spend, while incredibly, it also takes from those yet to be
born! This, along with the cost of the undeclared War in Iraq (and many other places in the world), the exploding cost of Medicare and Medicaid and the rest of pork including spending $2 million to study a rain forest in Iowa, is adding hundreds of billions to a crippling National Debt.

Speaking with the finance minister of France, Federal Reserve Chairman, Alan Greenspan, said "The U.S. has lost control of it's budget deficit". This is remarkable, not that the truth was said, but that he found the courage to acknowledge the catastrophic problem. Our current budget deficit, the amount we are in the red this year, is approximately $500 billion. Meanwhile, the National debt is acknowledged by those in power at around $8 trillion. This does not even account for the total unfunded liabilities of around $44 trillion. The average American that didn't live through the Great Depression, has no clue as to what kind of National emergency this represents to ourselves and our children.

Foreigners, many of whom don't consider us to be friends, are pumping approximately $4 billion a day into US stocks and bonds, yet our government is borrowing approximately $1.5 billion a day just to survive through the next election, lest the house of cards falls apart on their own watch.

Savy Americans, in order to survive the coming calamity, must make use of any and all tax advantages available. They need to invest wisely through, what is cooincidentally, a Libertarian philosophy of diversification. Most Americans are not heeding this wise advice.

The US strategy of global domination is sinking our economy like a rock. Follow the major trends:

  1. Like it or not, the middle east war(s) will continue
until most of us have died from old age, or until they cannot be financed by worthless pieces of paper. In order to survive inflation and the failure of many businesses affected by the economic changes, Americans must diversify. This means investing both internationally and in different markets such as small, large, cheap and expensive businesses. Investment in US companies should be limited to those companies supplying the war machine, natural
    resources and health.
  2. There will be a continuous devaluation of the dollar. Consider investing in US and global companies that manage natural resources. Investing in all bonds could be risky. This includes government and corporate.
  3. There will be a continuous rise in energy prices.
  4. India and China are rising economic stars. Consider primarily global companies and countries that provide food, energy, and infrastructure for these two tigers.
  5. Precious metals tend to do well during times of instability. However, the only "Carte Blanche" recommendation I'm willing to make without understanding an individual's circumstances is to buy silver, either in the form of coins and bullion or by investing in sound mining stocks.
